Science. Tech. Business. And shiny things.

That encompasses most of my writing. Here's a bit more.

I jumped out of a plane once, for the sake of journalism (it was a skydiving story). Since then, I've found invigorating work that doesn't require plummeting toward the ground at 120 mph.

My articles have appeared in dozens of publications, including Scientific American, Crain’s Chicago Business, O'Reilly Media, Technology Review, and alumni magazines such as Stanford.

As a Chicago-based journalist, I cover science, tech, and business. Since 2007, I've been a member of the National Association of Science Writers. Prior to freelancing, I worked on staff at InformationWeek and Music Inc.

Services I've provided for clients also include editing, blogging, ghost writing, and white papers.
